Exporting to China: how IMQ can support manufactures in managing CCC self-declaration, compulsory from 1st November for some low voltage products.

There is still time until the end of October to convert the CCC certification of all those products that, in order to be exported to China, no longer need (and cannot) obtain the CCC mark through the standard procedure, but for which the CCC certification must be processed through a self-declaration of conformity for which evidence of testing according to the Chinese GB standard is required.

Basic requirements for CCC self-declaration

For self-declaration one of the fundamental requirements is that the manufacturer has an authorised representative in China (subsidiary, importer, distributor).

The self-declaration must be uploaded on the CNCA dedicated platform together with the following documents in Chinese language:

Business license of the manufacturer and the representative (company register in China)
Product description and explanation
Technical files, including drawing, critical component list, electric diagram
User manual
List of compulsory standards
Factory quality assurance self-check report
Test report used for self-declaration
Self-declaration signed by both manufacturer and representative (template is in translating)
